Abstract

This study aims to find out how the application of the Project Based Learning model in increasing student activeness in SKI (Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam) subjects. This research uses qualitative research methods, the type uses case studies. The subjects used in this study were grade X social studies 1 student of SMA NU Genteng, Banyuwangi. The data collection techniques used were observation and interviews. While data analysis techniques are used through several stages including data collection, data presentation, and conclusions. The results of this study using the Project Based Learning model students are increasingly involved in learning and better understand the material learned does not become boring and tedious. This research implies that as an educator motivated to dare to use varied learning models in the hope of improving the process and results of learning quality
