Gemeinschaft: Journal of Social and Community Engagement is an international peer-reviewed journal that promotes scholarly inquiry, evidence-based practice, and innovation in the field of social and community engagement. The journal provides a forum for researchers, academics, practitioners, policymakers, and community stakeholders to examine how collaborative engagement can contribute to community empowerment, social transformation, inclusive development, and sustainable well-being.

The journal welcomes original and rigorous contributions that explore the processes, approaches, outcomes, and impacts of community engagement initiatives. Particular attention is given to research that connects academic knowledge with community-based practices and demonstrates meaningful participation of communities in identifying needs, developing solutions, implementing interventions, and evaluating their effectiveness and sustainability. The journal also values research that recognizes the diversity of social, cultural, economic, political, and environmental contexts in which community engagement takes place. Gemeinschaft particularly encourages manuscripts that demonstrate clear connections between research, community participation, and measurable social impact.
