Abstract

This study explores the integration of educational technology and industry partnerships in the curriculum redesign process in Islamic boarding school-based vocational schools in response to the demands of the Industrial Revolution 4.0. The study was conducted at SMK Nurul Jadid with a qualitative descriptive approach through interviews, observations, documentation, and literature studies. The findings show that the use of artificial intelligence technology and adaptive learning systems such as NOBOX.AI can improve the effectiveness of student learning, especially in active involvement and task completion. In addition, strong collaboration with the industrial world through PKL activities, teacher training, and joint curriculum development also encourages the creation of a relevant and sustainable education ecosystem. However, there are still obstacles such as limited technological infrastructure and teacher readiness to adapt to digital learning. This study makes a conceptual contribution to the understanding of the development of Islamic boarding school-based vocational education through the synergy of technology and industry partnerships. To broaden the scope of the findings, further research with a quantitative approach and a more varied population is recommended as a basis for formulating vocational education policies that are responsive to changing times.
